Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
